How Xnet has evolved over time
Kompas Xnet has its roots in the IT department of the former Kompas Yugoslavia, which had over 60 employees. System engineers, programmers, and DBAs were fully responsible for business applications, IT infrastructure, and network management, as well as the procurement and servicing of peripheral equipment across all branches in Slovenia and other republics of the former state. Regular training sessions were organized for employees to ensure that users could utilize various tools and business applications as effectively as possible.
1991
Kompas Xnet is established.
In 1991 and 1992, Kompas Yugoslavia transformed into joint-stock companies, among which Kompas Xnet was established. During this period, the company began to open up and gradually included external participants in its educational programs. The core activities remained education and user support within Kompas.
1995
Final ownership structure
Due to unfavorable conditions and financial difficulties that hindered the company's development, the company underwent a final ownership restructuring, which it has maintained to this day.
1998
Microsoft Partner
Shortly thereafter, Microsoft awarded us the status of Microsoft Certified Solution Provider, which was later rebranded as Microsoft Certified Partner.
2001
Microsoft Authorized Learning Center and ISO certification
Later, the company also acquired the status of a Microsoft Authorized Learning Center, now known as Microsoft Learning Partner (MLP), which allows us to conduct official Microsoft courses. In the same year, we received a quality certificate according to ISO standards 9001:2000, awarded to us by BVQI.
2004
Specialization in MS Office
Based on our solution for MS Office 2003, Microsoft recognized our additional qualification as an Information Worker, alongside our status as an educational center, which effectively means a specialization in MS Office systems.
2005
Microsoft Gold Partner
These activities contribute to achieving the status of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner the following year. In the same year, the company also obtained the Small Business Specialist competency.
2006
Relocation to new premises
In 2006, we completed a full renovation of our new office space in Stegne and fully relocated to the upgraded premises in the same year. We also chose a new company logo at that time.
2007
Additional Microsoft competencies
Based on verified references from our clients, Microsoft awarded us a special specialization in development in 2007—Custom Development Solutions Competency. In 2008, we also obtained the Security Software Advisor competency in the area of security.
2010
Recognition for the NT Conference 2010 website
For the NT Conference 2010 website, which was the first operational application in Slovenia built on the Windows Azure platform, we received recognition for the most innovative approach in utilizing Microsoft web technologies and platforms among Slovenian partners. The Microsoft Corporation committee also confirmed that the NTK 2010 website deserves its place among the case studies of successful projects, showcasing effective use of Microsoft Windows Azure technology.

GOLD competency for SharePoint
As the only Microsoft CPLS partners in Slovenia, we obtained the GOLD competency in the area of SharePoint services and solutions.

Golden Thread
Kompas Xnet participates for the first time in the competition for the best employer, Zlata nit, and ranks among the 7 finalists. In the following years, we achieve this result six more times in a row.
2013
LLPA Membership
As the representative for Slovenia, on October 18, 2013, we joined the international association of leading IT training centers—LLPA, which currently includes 32 participating countries.
2016
NETTY 2016
We received the NETTY 2016 award for the best sports website in Azerbaijan for the website we created for the F1 race.
2019
LLPA Summit 2019
In Postojna, we hosted the LLPA Summit, which was attended by 60 representatives from leading training centers worldwide. Participants traveled from 36 countries, including South Africa, Argentina, Russia, Iceland, and everywhere in between. The importance of knowledge and education is further underscored by the fact that the meeting was supported by 10 sponsors, and 20 representatives from Europe and the USA joined us, including Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Arvato, Pearson Vue, and others.

Microsoft Partner of the Year 2020 recognition in the field of education
As the representative for Slovenia in the LLPA association of leading educational partners, Kompas Xnet is extremely proud and excited to receive the highest award granted by Microsoft. We were selected for this title from a global pool of top Microsoft partners for our excellence and innovation in implementing customer solutions using Microsoft technologies.
